Artist bio
Frances Berriman is an emerging SF-based artist originally from Cornwall, England. A web native with decades of experience in what she describes as “ephemeral tech”, she is drawn to oil painting for its permanence, tactility, and stark contrast to her digital life. The artist focuses on the overlooked and in-between: hands, labels, traces, and small incidental marks. Through these quiet subjects, she explores how ordinary human choices leave unintended but lasting impressions on objects, animals and landscapes. Berriman’s paintings have been shown by Coyote Town @ Baukunst, Studio Gallery, The Faight Collective, Four Chicken Gallery, and the Wave Collective. In addition to her own studio practice, she holds an Assistant Professor Level 9 Kakyo Ikebana diploma, and is pursuing an MFA from the Falmouth School of Art.
